What are the requirements for becoming a CASA Volunteer?
A volunteer must be at least 21 years of age, have an interest in child advocacy, and be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Prospective Volunteers must attend an information session to receive an application. Upon receiving the application, the applicant will be asked to complete extensive background checks for the safety of the children we serve. Once the application and background checks are properly screened, a pre-training interview will be conducted before the applicant is accepted into the 36 hour training program.
