Qualifications of a CASA Volunteer

  • Interest in children, their rights, and special needs
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks and a Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI) check
  • Have 4 favorable references from sources other than relatives
  • Able to complete CASA's training program

Information Sessions will be held at the Morris CASA office: 18 Cattano Avenue, Morristown, NJ

Cattano is a one-way street and our building is set-back from the street with a small parking lot in front of it. Parking in our lot is by permit only and they tow. The best place to park is either at a meter on the street, or in the parking garage/deck which is directly next to our building. You will arrive at the entrance to the parking garage before you reach our building as you are driving down Cattano. The outside of the building does not have a CASA sign. Please come in the glass door and down the small staircase; the CASA office will be directly in front of you.
